ABOUT A&S AVIATION STEEL BUILDING STRUCTURES
When constructing aircraft hangars, it’s important to ensure that they are individually engineered to meet specific requirements, yet continue to provide the flexibility that satisfies even the most complex aviation need. You can choose from a handful of design options, including: gable symmetrical, gable unsymmetrical, or single slope structural systems. The clear span design provides column-free interiors, creating a wide open floor space and eave heights that can accommodate the larger aircraft of today. These structures allow for the selection of a variety of door options, including: bi-fold, bi-parting, and stack leaf designs. A&S is the pioneer for the use of extra wide clear-span structures, which are ideal for handling even the largest jet aircraft fleet. A&S will even design and fabricate some bi-parting and stack leaf designed door systems. Other door systems can be provided by A&S, as well.

ABOUT A&S CRANE BUILDINGS
A crane building is a complex structural system. These buildings consist of the crane with trolley and hoist, crane rails, crane runway beams, structural supports, and stops & bumpers, which upon request can all be supplied in the building proposal. A&S specializes in crane buildings, as they have furnished some of the largest crane systems in the industry. They routinely handle 100-ton crane buildings and more. There are a few types of crane buildings, including: Bridge Crane (top running and under-hung), Monorail, Jib, Stacker, & Gantry.

ABOUT A&S GABLE SYMMETRICAL BUILDINGS
A ridged (double slope) building is a structure in which the ridge is in the center of the building. The frames are prefabricated as much as possible. The end wall frames can be a simple post and beam type construction, or they can be built with a full interior type rigid frame which allows for potential future expansion. These flexible designs ensure the maximum utilization of interior space, while the quality fabrication practices result in a reduction in building assembly labor. These labor reductions result in lower total erection costs.

ABOUT A&S GABLE UNSYMMETRICAL BUILDINGS
An unsymmetrical structure is a ridged (double slope) building in which the ridge is off-center. The frames are prefabricated as much as possible. The end wall frames can either be simple post and beam type construction, or they can be built with a full interior type rigid frame to accommodate for any future expansion. The flexible designs allow for the maximum utilization of the interior space. Another bonus is the reduction in building assembly labor, due to the quality fabrication practices. Lower assembly labor results in lower erection cost.

ABOUT A&S LONG BAY BUILDINGS
Long Bay Buildings provide a clean, uncluttered interior that is ideal for all sorts of industries that require a large area of open floor space, including: manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or retail applications. Featuring superior strength-to-weight ratios and greater design flexibility that can even be used with hard wall and metal cladding applications. Long Bay® Systems have provided for erection cost savings compared to other types of joist construction. These structures are available with machine-seamed Standing Seam Roof systems, as well as Built-Up, Single-Ply and Multi-Ply roofing-systems.

ABOUT A&S LEAN TO BUILDINGS
Lean-To buildings are ideally suited to provide you with the extra space you need next to your building. The Lean-To ties in at the eave of your building or below the eave, allowing for a variety of uses. This space can be a completely covered area or even a completely enclosed addition to your building. Used for low-rise construction, Lean-To buildings have one slope and depend upon another structure for partial support.

ABOUT A&S SINGLE SLOPE BUILDINGS
Single Slop Buildings are constructed with a sloping roof on one plane. The incline spans from one wall to the opposite wall. This structure is used in low-rise commercial construction applications, such as strip shopping centers, mini storage complexes, and office buildings. When one-way roof drainage and column-free interior floor areas are required, a single slope building is ideal. The structure has a distinctive 1/2:12 roof pitch and is finished with a red oxide primer, leaving it with an unmistakable appearance.
